Ms. Javaria Choudry

Salam Alaikum,

My name is Javaria Choudry. I’m beyond grateful and excited to be working as a teacher for Ibn Sina Academy because of my love for Islam. I genuinely believe the greatest blessing for me is being a Muslim. I was born and raised in Pakistan, came to America for the first time when I was 10 years old. My Bachelor’s is in Zoology. I love incorporating Allah SWT and His messenger (PBUH) in every walk of my life whenever possible. In my spare time, I love hiking, photographing, exploring nature, and learning about Islam. 

I always looked up to my teachers here in America and Pakistan, both. That’s what inspired me to become a teacher myself. I have worked with Guilford County Schools for 3 years as a substitute teacher with every grade and loved it. I also got my Diploma in Tafsir from Cambridge Islamic College, UK. I have worked in YMCA summer camp and ICT summer camp as well and it made me realize that I want to work somewhere that prioritizes religious values.  
I’m ready for a full-time commitment as a teacher now, especially for young Muslims. 

I believe every human on this earth is sent with a unique gift and I’m determined to figure that out in each student in my classroom so they can reach their full potential. The success of my students, academically and social-emotionally, is my top priority. It is my goal to create a classroom of learners who are supported and encouraged by each other.
